Get to Know Me!

My name is William Gore. Friends and family call me Chris, but I go by either. I am a disabled Army Veteran who loves taking photos. I specialize in Sports and Candid Photography, but I do more than just those. I've taken Family Photos, Senior Photos, Maternity Photos, Engagement and Wedding Photos, and I have the ability to bring headshots to you as well. I've been married since 2004 and have three children.

What got me started?

I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama. When I was in high school, I wanted to in law enforcement, but you had to be 21. After talking with a few friends that were in law enforcement, I decided to do three years in the Army so I could turn 21, gain some experience, and get some free education. I decided to join as a M1A1 Abrams Armor Crewman because what 18 year old wouldn't want to drive a tank and blow stuff up. In March 2003, I started training at Fort Knox, KY. Side note, after graduation I said I would never come back, but yet here I am. After basic, I was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA in the 3rd Infantry Division. Halfway through my first deployment, I realized I actually enjoyed what I was doing, so I decided to reenlist for another four years. After my second deployment, I received orders for recruiting, and became a recruiter in Chattanooga, TN. While I was there, I realized there was more jobs, so I switched to Broadcast Journalist. In 2013, I went to the Defense Information School in Fort Meade, MD where I learned how to write, produce, and edit radio and video news stories. My family and I then moved to Fort Bragg, NC. While there, I honed in my video skills, but also started teaching myself photo journalism. I was able to tell the story of partnerships between the US and South African Army, the US and Western Africa, and the stories of Soldiers throughout the Army. Unfortunately, an injury left me unable to continue service, and I was medically retired in 2016.

My Mission: Affordable Photos

I have been married since 2004 and have three kids. I fully understand that life is expensive. Expensive photos are not always an option. I want everyone to be able to afford to capture the moments in their lives that are special. I keep my sessions low as possible so you can have your story told for years to come.

Take the Photo Vision

"Take the Photo" comes from my time in the Army. While I do have some photos, I wish that I had more. I regret not having more, so I encourage you to Take the Photo. Don't be like me, 10 years down the road and wish I had more photos to share with my family. Stories are great, but having that visual to go along with it makes the stories come to life even more. It doesn't matter if you're getting ready to graduate, getting engaged or married, just starting out as a family, or want to highlight the athlete in your family, let me Take the Photo for you.
