Congratulations to the Class of 2027. The last year of school has started. Before you know it, you'll be walking across the stage receiving your diploma. It's a moment that you'll want to hang on to forever. Unfortunately, time goes by so fast that it is really hard to enjoy your last year. Between classes, sports, clubs, college visits, and other senior activities, your schedule is going to fill up quickly. Here are five reasons booking your Senior Session early is a great idea.

1. Get the Best Dates and Times

The best time of the year for photos is finally here. August through October is one of the best times to schedule a photo session. The weather is starting to cool off, so you don't have to worry about sweating or bugs. Leaves haven't fully started changing yet so you can still get the lively green colors, but you also have an opportunity to have some very amazing fall colors as a background as well. In addition to that, the "golden hour" for photography is not as late in the evening. (That's when sunlight is perfect for photos.)

2. Beat the Busy Fall Schedule

Schools started and all of the activities are starting to ramp up. Friday Night Lights start shining on August 21 in Hardin County, and all kinds of other sports are not far behind. If you play or just go cheer on your school's team, your schedule is going to fill up fast. Getting a session scheduled now means you won't have something else to worry about down the road.

3. Securing the Spot That Fits Your Personality

Every person is different. Not everyone likes an open field or a creek as their background, because it's not them. Maybe an arcade, a certain bookstore, or downtown fits your vibe better. The sooner you're able to book your session, the better your chances are for getting a place that is more unique to your personality.

4. Have Plenty of Time for Graduation Announcements

Many families use senior portraits and photos for graduation announcements, yearbook ads, invitations, holiday cards, and gifts. Booking early will ensure that you receive your images with plenty of time to order prints, and personalized products without having to rush. Something I provide at William Gore Photography to make things easier is personalized products like invitations, cards, and banners. You won't have to go anywhere else.

5. You'll Feel More Relaxed

When you're not pressed with homework, practices, weekend events, and other senior activities, you can actually enjoy your photo session. You'll be able to explore different locations, outfit changes, and can get more creative in ways that reflect who you are. Being able to have fun during a session makes things way more enjoyable for everyone.
